This past weekend, KBS President Shannon Salyer hosted our Trident Maple Workshop. Attendees created their own trident maple forest displays using 10 seedlings and a trainer pot. Members brought their tridents in for some early Spring care: pruning, repotting, and learning the “Thread Graft” technique in this workshop.

Thank you to the Knoxville Botanical Garden for hosting KBS 2017 Winter Bonsai Display. Turn-out was great, and we were glad everyone had a fun time!

Come see Knoxville Bonsai Society 2017 Winter Display at the Knoxville Bontanical Gardens! Saturday, Feb. 4th from 10am – 5pm.
The next meeting is on Dec 10 at 9:30 to 1 and it will be at Knoxville Botanical Garden. This is also KBS’s Christmas luncheon (from 11:30 to 1). KBS and Officers would like to invite each of you to the luncheon. KBS will provide the luncheon (Chili and all the stuff to go with it, drink and desserts). You do not have to bring any food. If you want to bring dessert please let me know. Shannon, Tom, Sue and I will bring chili/dessert. PLEASE LET DAT KNOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME SO WE KNOW HOW MUCH TO PREPARE!

ASHEVILLE, NC – The North Carolina Arboretum’s annual Carolina Bonsai Expo will be held on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 in the Arboretum’s Baker Exhibit Center and Education Center buildings. 9am – 5pm.
