KBS Members, Trident Maple, Workshop

Trident Maple Workshop

This past weekend, KBS President Shannon Salyer hosted our Trident Maple Workshop. Attendees created their own trident maple forest displays using 10 seedlings and a trainer pot. Members brought their tridents in for some early Spring care: pruning, repotting, and learning the “Thread Graft” technique in this workshop.

Workshop and Upcoming Events

Hi all, happy Saturday! No doubt you are already at Shannon’s having fun and learning junipers and pines. Just a reminder (you still have a few hrs. to get there!):

Saturday, Nov 12; 10:00 am, at Shannon’s. Double Offer:

**Shannon will be teaching wiring and twisting of juniper cuttings; For $40.00 each student will take home 3 cuttings they’ve wired, following Shannon’s guidance.

Bring 2.5 mm aluminum wire; wire cutters; $40.00.

**Dat will be leading a FREE Hands’ On with Black Pine Candle Selection.

Bring your Black Pine Trees!!

UPCOMING Fall EVENTS:

1 – Because of work and travel we didn’t get to go to Charlene’s house/land to check out trees for collecting next spring. Maybe next Saturday (Nov. 19th) if she available. I will ask her.

2 – I have booked a workshop with Bjorn for next year (2017) for June 10. If you want in, please let me know. Fill up fast………

3 – Dec 10 Meeting and Christmas get-together (a lunch like we did before.) Time and location TBD.

4 – If you are coming this Saturday, please bring an extra $20 for 2017 membership dues. $30 for family.
