Please don’t forget the meeting and Christmas luncheon is thisSaturday, Dec 9, at 9:30 to 1:30 or so at Knoxville Botanical Garden at the new building.
The main thing for this meeting is to go over the planning for the 2018 winter show on Feb 17 & 18. The lighting committee people (Tom, Fred and Wes) please try your best to come.
For the Luncheon about 12 noon. KBS will provide a honey baked ham, utensils and ices. If you are planning to come, please bring a side dish or a dessert and a 2-liter or tea drink of your choice – and email Dat to RSVP!
In June, KBS welcomed back bonsai master Bjorn Bjorholm for a workshop focused on juniper and other conifers. Photos below, and also check out upcoming events/workshops at the Schedule page – updated for June thru the fall!

This past weekend, KBS President Shannon Salyer hosted our Trident Maple Workshop. Attendees created their own trident maple forest displays using 10 seedlings and a trainer pot. Members brought their tridents in for some early Spring care: pruning, repotting, and learning the “Thread Graft” technique in this workshop.
We Thank the new faces that showed up, and hope to see you at the next workshop!
Please check out our Schedule page for the upcoming Japanese Maple Workshop and Repotting Workshops in March!
